I was given a bisphosponate infusion at Bedford hospital and almost immediately suffered side effects. Despite trying to register my symptoms and concerns with healthcare professionals -I was told on numerous occasions that this couldn’t be correct -at the end of my tether I requested a private appointment and saw Dr Nissar. He very quickly identified risk factors, differential diagnoses and required investigations He was very knowledgeable, polite and empathetic (something sadly missing in my encounters with staff within the NHS) He explained clearly the differential diagnoses and next steps. I felt heard which was an enormous relief.
